Diamond Guide

The cut of the diamond determines its sparkle and brilliance.

Even a diamond with perfect color and clarity can be made to look dull with an imperfect cut.

A diamond is a prism refracting light rays that enter through it. It is necessary for the internal facets to be at specific angles to maintain maximum brightness.

Diamonds can be cut into several different shapes. The most common is the Round Brilliant Cut. Other favorites are:

  • Emerald
  • Marquise
  • Oval
  • Pear
  • Princess
